Coach Chad Brenna begins his 2nd year as the head coach of the Proctor GBB program. The Rails return 10 young ladies from last season and have high hopes going into November that they’ll be reaching some pretty good goals that they’ll set.
Rails were 11-17 last year and are hoping to at least switch the number of wins and losses around this year. Junior Lexie DeWall returns and brings a 16.8ppg average to the squad. Senior Krista Mottonen is a returning floor general who averaged 8 ppg & 5 assists last season.
As a member of the Lake Superior Conference, Coach Brenna looks forward to a matchup versus Superior WI to gauge improvement over the summer and offseason months. Hermantown is the main rival & a game versus a very good Esko squad is being anticipated. The Rails are an uptempo team and have a lot of athleticism. They are not, however, a very big squad. A good start to the game in their style of play would be beneficial to getting some wins that maybe have eluded them in the past.
Coach Brenna sees Superior as the early conference & Esko as the Section 7AA early favorites, but hopes as the year goes that his Rail program is right with them.

Quick note we will be playing Aitkin at the Target Center on 1/31 before the Wolves battle the Cavs.
