The Raiders return 15 kids this season and finished last year 21-7, so quick glance you’ll say “Wow, these ladies are going to be pretty darn good!” Jeff Crosby begins his 6th season as head coach at Roseville Area HS. In that time at RAHS, he has accumulated a 104-36 record there. It is his 15th overall season of coaching hoops.
Yes, the team is expected to be one of the conference and section favorites this season. They’ll likely battle with arch nemesis White Bear Lake for the conference crown & then add in St Paul Central as a section contender with these two.
Seniors Monica Burich, Sydni Dykes, & Kaitlin Nelson will be some of the leaders this season. A couple younger players to note who’ll be helping the cause are Junior Sara Hain & sophomore Kaia Porter. Burich is likely to reach the 1000 point plateau at some point this season.
Besides the home and home matchups vs White Bear Lake this season, the Raiders look forward to playing in the Breakdown Tipoff Classic, host their own Holiday Tourney, facing Osseo, & traveling to South Dakota to face Sioux Falls Washington in the Sanford Pentagon.
Class AAAA GBB is so tough and you have to be ready every night. Watch the polls & standings this year to see how this team is faring. It seems like they’ll do well.
