The ACGC Falcons led by head coach Adam Schumacher are looking to develop team cohesion between veteran and younger team members as the season begins soon. The Falcons fought through a rough 2-20 season last year, but optimism to be much better than that recordwise this season is definitely a goal.
ACGC spends a lot of time playing West Central Conference foes who are a class higher. The Falcons only see 3 section 2A opponents on their schedule this season and will be looking to make the most of these opportunities to help themselves come tournament seeding time
Returning to the team this year as previous letter winners include: Kaitlyn Moore, Abby Halvorson, Payton Willner, Kendra Miller & Maree Lee. This group will need to continually get better as players as the season progresses. There is also a fair number of talented newcomers who’ll be looking for veteran leadership & the opportunity to get on the court to play with them.
Playing well and being in the thick of things is part of the process through the long season. It will be important to remain positive and be willing to forget any past games or seasons. The intent is always to look ahead and not back. Continually get better as the season progresses & build off of any learnings so that at playoff time, the girls will be at their best
