Former Arrow freshman coach Joe Kahl takes over the reigns of the Pipestone Area squad this winter. Coach Kahl, will be assisted by long-time assistant Troy Bouman and inherits an awful talented cast of athletes who could make some noise this season in Section 3A.
A good frontcourt returns headed by Senior Collin Moeller. Moeller stands 6'7 and can be a force on both ends of the court. Donavon Johnson and Justin Rops are a couple other interior players that work well together with the Arrow guards who do an excellent job of putting the ball where they can make plays.
Seniors Dominic Freese & Boyer Bouman are one of the top tandems in SW Minnesota this season. Both are good shooters from long range and very smart. Boumann is a crafty point guard who'll make opponents feel silly some nights. Junior Braden Baartman is another player who can shoot the ball well.
Playing in the Big South West will be a challenge for the Arrows, but make them a much better playoff team due to competition vs teams like Jackson County Central & Redwood Valley(both in Section 3A) & Marshall. The Arrows always play a border game with Dell Rapids or Madison SD which are both excellent squads. This group of Arrows will be up to any challenge, especially after a very successful football season that is still going on for them as this is written.
Expect this Arrow team to get after it and use their experience and depth to their advantage. It's a real athletic bunch & some of the best groups that have been wearing green and white the last several seasons.
