Season number three as head coach of Rosemount will officially being November 17th for Chris Orr. Orr and his assistants Molly Kasper, Megan Eul, & Jason Burdick will be looking to get the Irish to improve upon last season’s 13-14 record.
Big shoes to fill with the loss of now Marrquette freshman Hannah Grim, but some talent will be back that will continue to bring bigger things to the program over the next several seasons. Seniors Liz Evenocheck & Ellie Vraa return and have a lot of playing experience. Sophomore Maddy Olson is a youngster whose name will be known across the metro before she is done playing.
There isn’t an easy game on the schedule this season or any season for that matter. The level of play in the South Suburban Conference is high. No question, the favorite in conference and section that everyone will shoot for is Eastview.
Realistic goals of finishing in the middle of the pack & taking anything extra to that as gravy is going to be the early thoughts before the season starts. That can all change. You’ll note a cool slogan around Rosemount GBB this year: ‘We play for those who came before; we set the standard for those who will follow. WE ARE THE IRISH!
