Hinckley-Finlayson finished second place in the Great River Conference behind Braham the last three seasons in row. Coach Dan Kreft, in his 5th year, would love to see his young squad attain something of that level this season.
The Jaguars will be looking to develop their youngsters quickly to the speed of varsity action. Alex Fiero, Cody Dunkley, & TJ Johnson are returning starters. Fiero was an all-conference performer last season.
Top Great River favorite this year will be Braham with the Jags wanting to be there too when it counts at the end if possible.
Section 7AA is somewhat open with Virginia, International Falls, & Aitkin looked upon as the early favorites. The Jaguars, like many other squads across the state, will need to build their youth up quickly to be a top team in the conference or section.
